Our goal is to examine and certify eligible patients who will benefit from the addition of medical marijuana (MMJ) as allowed for by Pennsylvania Act 16, to the overall treatment plan of their chronic medical illness.

Over the past 2 decades since MMJ has become legalized in certain states, there has been a mounting body of evidence that this ALTERNATIVE to conventional treatments can provide symptom relief and overall improvement in the lives of thousands of patients nationwide. This is especially true in the areas of chronic pain, chronic inflammatory conditions and seizure.

Research efforts, largely blocked by the federal ban on marijuana, are showing impressive results and case by case stories have added to the proof that the addition of MMJ can dramatically improve the lives of many of our patients. We AIM to evaluate our patients, their medical histories, and their response to conventional treatment. We will then certify our patients in order to INTEGRATE MMJ into their treatment plan. Patients will be re-evaluated on a regular basis to assess the efficacy of their treatment and when appropriate, make adjustments to dose or route of delivery.

We AIM to improve symptom control such as a reduction of pain, muscle spasms, and seizures. As an added benefit, MMJ has been shown, in some studies, to improve sleep, reduce anxiety, and add to the overall sense of well being in many patients.

We will focus on treating adults and children with illnesses that have responded poorly to conventional treatment. This includes illnesses such as uncontrolled pain, uncontrolled seizures, and uncontrolled spasms to name just a few. By using an individualized and health centered approach we hope to significantly improve the quality of life for our patients.
